Lady Gloria Thompson
Lady Gloria Thompson, a humble servant of God, whose life verse is Psalm 34, verse 1: "I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth".
Missionary Thompson accepted the Lord in 1997 while attending a youth crusade. She served the Lord faithfully for many years at Mt. Olive Church Of God In Christ, in Waterbury, Connecticut where she fulfilled local and state positions. Lady Thompson served as a nurse and an usher; President of the Lillian Clemon Memorial Scholarship Committee; Secretary and teacher for Prayer and Bible Band, Sunday School teacher and a teacher for Young People Willing Workers (YPWW). In addition to her local duties, she also served as the State President of the Young Women’s Christian Council (YWCC), and State District Secretary.
Lady Thompson began her ministerial work in January of 2011, when her husband, Pastor Willie Thompson, Jr. established Eternal Life Ministries in Naugatuck, Connecticut. Since the inception of the ministry, she has worked diligently and prayerfully alongside her husband. Having a concern for the spiritual and natural needs of humanity, Lady Thompson instituted the Bread Ministry, where she and the committee distribute bread to church members and the community four days a week. In addition, she implemented a Women’s Book Club, she is a volunteer for the Literacy Program at the Naugatuck Library, and she participated in a vocation program at the Waterbury Women’s shelter where she and a few other saints conducted Bible Study.
Lady Thompson prepared herself academically by obtaining her Bachelors of Criminal Justice and her Master’s in Human Services. She has worked for the State of Connecticut in the human services arena for nearly 18 years, with extensive experience in developmental and disability services.
Lastly, in addition to assisting her husband in the ministry, Lady Thompson is personally committed to the work of the Lord. She is a devoted prayer warrior whose motto is, “Pray without ceasing” - I Thessalonians 5:17.
