Our History
Before Eternal Life Ministries began, there was a cry in the spirit of Pastor Thompson: a cry for the presence and power of God without regard to denomination; a cry for an genuine worship where intimacy with God prevails over ritual and religion; a cry for a church where the wounded could be made whole, where the lonely could be comforted, where broken hearts could be mended.
Pastor Thompson heard the cry and responded by establishing Eternal Life Ministries. The church began with a small group of committed laborers on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the Comfort Inn in Naugatuck, Connecticut. Eternal Life is a giving and loving church where Jesus Christ is celebrated and the devil is not tolerated! It is a ministry where the Word of God is not just being taught, but lived!
As people of God, He wants us to be the "light" and "salt" of the world. He has strategically placed each born again believer so that we can point the world to Him. In turn, God has placed Eternal Life Ministries in the Naugatuck Valley Community to bring His love to this community.
Eternal Life Ministries is a church that moves beyond its four walls and ministers to the needs of the people throughout the Naugatuck Valley community. This form of ministering is performed through our “Gifts of Help” Outreach Ministry, established in September of 2011. From that point forward, the Outreach Ministry has been distributing bread, pastry, and deserts to residents of various cities, on a weekly basis. In addition, the Ministry also supplies toys and coats to children of all ages during the holiday season. Outreach to people of all nationalities is a cornerstone of Eternal Life’s ministry. We accomplish this God given mission by being involved in our local area.

Our DESIRE: Eternal Life Ministry's desire is to equip the saints for battle using the Word of the living God. The Bible commands us as believers to "be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might." (Eph. 6:10). Our hope is to unite as one nation under God, and prepare the world for the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our BATTLE: God has given us the authority to defeat the enemy in all aspects of our own lives and communities. We have the authority to take back our neighborhoods from Satan, and declare that Connecticut will be a better place for all mankind. The Lord has declared, "I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19). Our battle zone includes our community, our state, our nation, and ultimately - the world.
Our VICTORY: Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, came to the earth, was crucified, and resurrected on the third day so that we might have freedom through Him. John 8:36 says, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." It is our endeavor to see freedom proclaimed in the lives of those bound by the enemy.
